Pianist and Composer Chick Lyall has been described as a polymath working as he does across a broad stylistic range of music. His solo piano work ranges from free avante-garde classical influences to reflective lyricism and bold melodies. He is at home with recent European developments as he is with the broader American jazz tradition.
Currently Chick divides his time between composing, performing and teaching.
He has performed with many of Scotland's leading musicians as well as visiting artists from across the UK, Scandinavia and the USA.
